Kingdom Of Loathing

June 24th, 2004 | Category: Fun n Games, Links

Forget Ever Quest or the beta version of World Of Warcraft… save the $12/month and go play Kingdom of Loathing instead. KoL is online turn-based RPG with the BEST GRAPHICS EVER. Period. ;)

Seriously, this is a fun, free game that maintains the best elements of an RPG while constantly making fun of it. For those of you that are worried about another EverCrack addiction, KoL limits you to 40 adventures per day (except for your first day which is 80) which is probably 15-30 mins of game time. But if you don’t use your turns they will rollover up to 200 adv. Come join the fun, then i won’t have to join a lame clan that doesn’t get it’s daily dose of the Soapbox. :D

Robot To The Rescue

June 21st, 2004 | Category: Fun n Games

See a robot rip a door off a car!… And then have trouble letting the door go. I love robot distruction as much as the next guy, but after seeing this in action and driving around - I’m pretty sure that myself, the firefighters and the jaws of life would all be BBQing by the time this robot got into place to save me.

My favorite part was when the robot was removing an I-beam obstruction from in front of the car door and dropped it on the back of the car: oops!

Back To The Future

June 18th, 2004 | Category: eBay

I really need to add an eBay category with all of the treasures I am finding, but I’m going camping so oh well. Perhaps I could go back in time and… do it then? instead. You know ’cause there would be more time and….

Anyway, this is really cool. I would be REALLY tempted to buy this if the car wasn’t 23 years old. Wow, I getting up there myself.

Pre-Flush Flash Game

June 18th, 2004 | Category: Fun n Games

There has been an age old debate between the sexes as to the male’s ability to aim — especially when inebriated. Well, now the debate can be put to rest with the help of a flash game. Have fun, I scored 38K, but the current high score is 55,841 (from someone with more practice peeing drunk, aparently ;) ). Also if anyone can explain what/why/how “J2O” helps your aim… nah, nevermind… I really don’t care.

ASCII Matrix

This can only be described awesome. It is quite impressive that this was done with only streaming characters — it kinda puts the whole smiley face thing to shame. I am both in awe of the skill involved and jealous of the free time apparently available to others.

Wow, Bad

June 15th, 2004 | Category: Links, Tech

I think i may have found - quite possibly - the WORST web site design EVER. I don’t know maybe it’s a joke, but they have resumes and stuff about how good they are, but then again they have quotes like:

IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH FINISHED PROJECT YOU TAKE IT AND PAY US.
WE DO NOT CONSULT WITH CLIENTS - WE UNLEASH THE PROJECT
Please note that you will probably only see most of the humor in this if you are somewhat familar with web design.

Pokemon Mini Hacked

June 14th, 2004 | Category: Tech

For those of you that don’t want to spring the $200-500 (est.) for the PSP, you can always pick up a Pokemon Mini that has been hacked to play other games (4 so far) in addition to the one that comes on it.

Here are some pics of the soon to be out ASUS MyPal A730 that compare it to the ipaq 41xx, my current PDA of choice.

Oops, Air Marshal

June 13th, 2004 | Category: Links

A woman refused to turn off her cel-phone off and take her seat when her plane starting to taxi away from the gates saying

“It is rude to hang up on people. I don’t have to turn my phone off.” — CBS Then an air marshal told her that she needed to listen to the flight attendants (sexy stews!) and placed his hand on her shoulder to direct her to her seat. She responded by spinning around and slapping said marshal in the face. She was then promptly handcuffed and taken off the plane.

Time For A New Phone

June 13th, 2004 | Category: Links

Two women were mugged in the Port Elizabeth in South Africa but the thieves were not impressed one of the mobile phones they were confiscating…

“When they looked at her phone and threw it back at her, saying they don’t take cheap stuff.” — BBC
