Congressman Conyers Can’t Understand The Bills He Votes On
What’s the point of laws that the law-makers themselves don’t understand? How can that possibily make the system better?
Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) speaks at a National Press Club luncheon. Speaking about health care reform legislation he said, “What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?”
Senoir Health Care Spread Thinner To Include Illegals
Glad my grandparents will soon be losing benefits so illegals aren’t excluded from Everyone-Care…
Tonight, the House passed by a slim 220-215 margin a health care reform bill (H.R. 3962) that excludes the restrictions necessary to prevent illegal aliens from accessing benefits. This set up a potential conference committee battle since President Obama and the Senate support tighter restrictions.
The House bill would allow illegal aliens to use the new health care “exchange” and would not require verification to keep illegal aliens out of the other parts of the proposed federal health care system. – NumbersUSA
Obama On Pace To Increase Nat. Debt 70% In One Term
This is truly funny. You can tell that Sec Treasury Geithner has been banned from using the phrase “raise taxes”. Not so funny: $1.3 TRILLION of new debt since inauguration day. At that pace Obama will raise the national debt from $10.6T to $17.1T in one term.
GOP Gains Obama Doesn’t Care
The GOOD news: Democrats lost some elections and a little overall momentum. The BAD news: we had to elect Republicans (Democrats Lite) to do it…
WASHINGTON — Republican gubernatorial wins in New Jersey and Virginia mark a troubling turn for President Obama, whose personal efforts couldn’t stop the fall of Democrats facing a voter backlash over the economy and a notable uptick in the government’s would-be role in people’s lives.
Obama’s 2008 victory in Old Dominion had marked an historic breakthrough for Democrats who hadn’t won Virginia’s electoral votes since 1964. The fight in the Garden State was more grueling than usually accompanies Democratic campaigns in the reliably blue state of New Jersey.
So the setbacks demonstrate the difficulty of presidential leadership following a campaign built on promises of unity followed by divisive policies and a relentless campaign approach toward big legislative issues like the stimulus and health care bills. – Fox News
