Tron’s Fat Brother

Here’s a funny site about a guy’s journey to be the coolest Tron friend type person there is. At a costume party at least. The pics are funny but so is some of the text so don’t miss out on great quotes like these:

One note: Splicing el-wire is possible, but not something I’d recommend doing if there’s any alternative. In retrospect, I should have bought longer kits for the arm guards and Frisbee.

It turned out to be easier than I thought, largely because acrylic paint is easy to work with. It went exactly where I told it to go. The learning curve was in figuring out how to tell it.

Bush Pig

The Bush Pig is a new -uhm- vehicle out of Australia. It’s pretty much a skateboard meets dirt bike (though some claim segway meets ATV). The strange thing is that you put your feet where you would expect the wheel hubs to be. Designed for off road use and able to reach 20 mph, this thing looks really fun -er- dangerous.

The Snooze Button

Dean Bladwin has been snaping digital pics of himself waking up for 3 years now. He rigged a digi cam up to his snooze button to “point out the subtle difference in the sameness of our daily routines; the tired eyes may look similiar, but the beard is scruffier and his sheets have been changed… part of a broader practice in which he obessively documents life’s habitually recurring and more mundane moments.”

The flash interface is pretty cool and the background tracks are worth the visit alone. From what I can gather it’s Circle Research playing Psy’d Tracked Feat. Psy of the Oddities and others…

A-E-I-O-U…

Until recently, exercising your face required – well – some interesting efforts, such as, over-enunciating you vowels over and over, but NO MORE! Now you can get that same great work out in a new bizzare way: the Facial Gym! And apparently I’m going to have to add a new topic that encompasses all the bizzare stuff I have been finding lately.
