Doom 3 Is OUT

The much anticipated game Doom 3 is finally out. I think this was orginally scheduled for like March 2001 (ok maybe not that long ago). Seriously though this game looks AWESOME. Assuming you can see it’s wonderness with your puny 3D card. Hurray for me, with my B-day next week: I can get the game and play it on my new ATI 9600XT which should double my 3D horsepower. :D :D :D

The trailer on the new flash site is a MUST SEE. And then we’ll see if you can resist the urge to go buy this game.

2nd Ever Kuban Super Sprint Triathlon

After feedback from the participants and judges from the first Super Sprint Triathlon, the course was made longer, safer, and most importantly: better. The Kuban Super Sprint Triathlon now covers a combined distance of 7 miles. A .25 mile swim followed by a 5.75 mile bike ride followed by a 1 mile run. The next race will be held Saturday Aug. 7th and will be open to all-comers. If we have too many people it will be held in waves, otherwise it will be a pure race to the finish.

These super sprints are the final push in my training for the Sports Barn Sprint Triathlon that is now a mere 12 days away.

UPDATE: I took the new course for a spin today and the following was my time breakdown.

.25 Mile Swim Time: 11:05
Transition: 7:50 (bike troubles)
5.75 Mile Bike Time: 27:49
Transition: 3:50
1 Mile Run Time: 10:04
Total Time: 56:45
(Estimated Full Race @ Pace: 1:22:30)

Train Like A Navy Seal

My brother found the pre-Seal School training regiment online. I went through and create a combined training schedule from it. I like this quote from the Seal site "Getting in shape for the world class Navy SEALs is no walk in the park. However, if you can push yourself to the limit, then the rewards will be great!" Yes like being able to run 4 miles in army boots in under 30 minutes — these aren't your Nike Zoom Maxes or being able swim 2 miles in the ocean in under 75 minutes. My favorite is the 5.5 mile ocean swim to completion (with fins). Great rewards INDEED.

Prada Tool-bag

For the man that has everything – except me because I don’t want one (my b-day is coming up) – you can get them this prada bag. While a nice thought, at $700 i think most men will wonder where the remote for it is.
