DOJ: Black Voters Need Democratic Party

DOJ rules: black people only know who to vote for if ballets list party affliation & white people will only vote for blacks if they’re democrats… you can’t make this stuff up.

Voters in this small city decided overwhelmingly last year to do away with the party affiliation of candidates in local elections, but the Obama administration recently overruled the electorate and decided that equal rights for black voters cannot be achieved without the Democratic Party.

The Justice Department’s ruling, which affects races for City Council and mayor, went so far as to say partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their “candidates of choice” – identified by the department as those who are Democrats and almost exclusively black.

The department ruled that white voters in Kinston will vote for blacks only if they are Democrats and that therefore the city cannot get rid of party affiliations for local elections because that would violate black voters’ right to elect the candidates they want. – Washington Times

Finally An Affordable Tablet PC

acer_aspire_1820pt_1.jpgAcer took the wraps off a rumored affordable thin and light tablet in Italy today.  Using the latest Intel ULV chips (which bridge the gap between netbooks and notebooks), the device will offer good performance and battery life.  No word on the US release date just yet.

And unlike previous tablets aimed at executives and hospitals that costs thousands of dollars the Acer will only cost hundreds.  Cheap, portable, and powerful.  What else could you want in a tablet?

Open Season on Journalism?

First Obama is at “war” with Fox News and now a GOP candidate calling the cops on the Weekly Standard…

“Hello, 911? This is the Dede Scozzafava campaign. Could you send a police car over to the Elks Lodge? There is a reporter here asking our candidate uncomfortable questions. Thank you.”Something like this call went out last night when a reporter committed the “high crime” of asking Republican congressional candidate, Dede Scozzafava (endorsed by the Daily Kos), questions that she obviously felt very uneasy about answering…

But I do wonder if it’s the Scozzafava campaign that’s in trouble–with a candidate who supports card check, who is unwilling to say she’d oppose a health care bill that raises taxes or includes abortion coverage, and who is so reluctant to answer questions that she has someone with her campaign call the cops when she’s questioned by a reporter who is (if I may say so) polite–if a bit persistent. – News Busters
