Funny Support Phone Call

Our friends over at StillSpinning.net posted a pretty funny call into a customer service center regarding… ah, uhm… let's just say it wasn't a computer…

Don't worry, it's still funny regardless of which support center this actually occurred in — and really which center has this not occurred in…

Note: just ignore all the blue… I think they're playing with their site design

Record Tax Revenues

The IRS pulled in record income tax revenues in April.  The amount was second only to the final tech boom before the bust in 2001.  Now if we had record income tax revenues that would certainly imply record incomes. Record incomes would point towards -gasp- a good economy.

This might also be used as proof that cutting tax RATES can actually increase tax REVENUES.  Which is really what the big government guys are all about.  Of course such economic theories don't really jive with trying to drum up class warefare.

Send A Message -er- Brick

Well a grass effort to send a new kind of message to congress regarding illegal immigration and the need to secure our borders.  Send-A-Brick.com is rallying people to send bricks to Congress as a statement about sealing the borders.  Spokesmen for the organization say that they aren't necessarily desiring a huge brick wall – just a truely secure border.

You can send a brick to congress through their website for $11 or if you want to DIY: a brick stuffed in a priority mail envelope will cost you about $4 + the brick.
