Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon can be summed up in just two words: it’s BIG. Seriously. The Canyon is astonishingly large. I had seen it previously from a plane an it didn’t seem that cool. But in person, in real life, it’s sooo big that I fear that words or pictures will never capture it. Never adequately describe it. You must go see the canyon that is grand to truely appreciate it.

Nevertheless I have tried to capture a small bit of the spectacle in images below.

The following two panos have been created using about 20 pics each from a single point and the program Auto Stitch (its free and its awesome). The second pano looks a little weird because it wrapping so far around a single point that the perspective seems odd (since we normally can’t see 250 degrees of a landscape at once – at least without turning our head).

These last pics are from the spot I chose to stop and enjoy a stogey. Smoking a cigar and watching the Sun set over the Grand Canyon – it doesn’t get much better than this!

Cross Country Road Trip

Well as some of you may know, I recently purchased a vehicle out on the left coast – nice car, great deal. Just one problem: its 2300 miles away… ROAD TRIP! Problem solved.

Yesterday, I started the vast trip as I transversed the desert on my way towards the Grand Canyon (a necessary stop for anyone passing by it). Below are some of the pics (look close and you’ll see another fun stop "along the way").

Vanished; Without A Trace

TV shows aside, Tragedy struck the heart of south-central LA as a coveted pair of shades went missing on the beaches of San Diego. After two exhustive searches the special FBI Task Force has yet to find a viable lead.

This picture was taken less than an hour before it’s disappearance.? If you have an information regarding the whereabouts of these shades, please contact the FBI or your local authorities.? The clock is ticking folks!

California Beaches

Well, I have to say I was somewhat disappointed with the beaches here in Southern California. They don’t look anything like on TV… You know, packed with gorgeous women in small bathing suits. ;)

The ocean itself, luckily was beauty enough for me.

Though much like a woman it was a rather expense to spend time with – $300 expensive. Unfortunately my walk along the beach cost me my new Maui Jim sunglasses. This was doubly upsetting as they were a recent gift to me. We searched that night with flashlights and the following morning – but to no avail.
